The Oscars are one of the most successful public relations stunt of all time. And they’re not resting on their laurels. Now, the Academy is leading the charge online by integrating the Web into their efforts.
Even if you didn’t follow producer Gil Cates blog, if you aren’t satisfied without he soundbites the entertainment media runs with and want to see what the Oscar winners at last night’s Academy Awards really had to say for themselves, go can watch the clips in the Academy Awards online pressroom, which has links of what each winner said in the event pressroom directly following the event. The Academy did a great job of this press room, which I believe is entirely open source.
But you don’t need to be a movie stare to benefit from an online press room with a blog, on-demand video, images and background information. If you need help setting one up, Schwartzman & Associates Public Relations can create and manage an online public relations program for your organization.
If you want to do it yourself, you can outsourcing the online press room management technology to an outfit like iPressroom.
