NY Times Does Satire, With No Help from Daily Show

In attempt to appeal to audiences that have responded positively to Jon Stewart’s satirical take on the news, The New York Times has launched a column called Laugh Lines, featuring one-liners by late night talk show hosts Leno, Letterman and Ferguson on major news that occurred over the course of the week. But noticeable absent from those quoted is Stewart himself, suggesting that perhaps The Times feels Stewart’s audience is big enough as it is.
